Lived Experiences

The White Army has repeatedly witnessed the powerful grace that flows from the “yes” of children. Here are some examples:

August 30, 1980
Pope John Paul II is visiting L’Aquila. For months, there has been great tension in Poland between the communist government and the Solidarity trade union. Russian tanks are at the borders, and there is talk of a third world war. Before coming to L’Aquila, the Pope asks for prayers for his homeland. The White Army gathers 4,000 children in the stadium, who consecrate themselves to God the Father in Mary and pray the 15 mysteries of the Rosary to offer the Pope the gift of peace in Poland. While the children are praying, at that same hour, an agreement is reached in Poland between the union leader Lech Wałęsa and the head of government, Wojciech Jaruzelski, as reported by the newspapers.

May 13,1981
About 1,000 elementary school children gather in the Basilica of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Capodimonte, Naples. They consecrate themselves to the Father in Mary, offering their lives for world peace and for the Pope. On the same day, Pope John Paul II is shot in St. Peter’s Square, but miraculously does not die. He himself would later say: “It was a mother’s hand that guided the bullet’s path, and the Pope, on the threshold of death, stopped short.”

June 2, 1981
At the invitation of the Archbishop of Chieti, Mons. Vincenzo Fagiolo, the White Army gathers 800 children for Holy Mass in the Cathedral. The children pray the Rosary and consecrate themselves to God so that the Holy Father may return to the Vatican as soon as possible. That very afternoon, despite doctors’ advice, John Paul II returns to the Vatican for Pentecost.

1994 – War between Peru and Ecuador
At the invitation of Cardinal Bernardino Echeverría, the Armata Bianca consecrates 25,000 children in Quito to the Heavenly Father for peace between Peru and Ecuador. On the day the mission ends, hostilities cease. A final peace agreement is signed on May 13, 1999 (the anniversary of the first apparition at Fatima), and casualties remain very limited despite the large amount of weaponry on both sides.

May, 1999
The war in Kosovo shows no sign of ending. Armata Bianca of Vasto (CH) organizes a gathering with all the elementary schools of the city: from May 10 to 13, all preschool and elementary children are consecrated to the Father and pray the Rosary for peace in Croatia. A few days later, on the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, hostilities in Croatia come to an end.
